We followed tracks in the spring one time and got nearly there and turned around as we were low on fuel already. Never knew where the tracks were going until I looked at my GPS and saw how close we were to Blue Lake. I'll have to complete the journey some time....

How is the riding in Griffin. I heard nice meadows to ride in there. Is it lady friendly as wife and I are thinking of going there this weekend? Snow conditions in there??

Will be heading out next weekend if work permits!

Griffon in the spring to Blue is a beutiful ride....Easy riding if you wish or some hills for the devils to the South East.

Take it real easy on the trail up and down till you reach the end were you can take the trail through the trees or go across the cut block as there is extreme drops that are not forgiving to front end of sleds and usually requires a winch to get them back on the trail.

Mud slides are starting to happen across the bottom of the trail so stay single file.

Do not take shortcuts if you have not been there. Shortcuts work only in deep powder as you will see at 5-6 km.

Extra fuel is a definate as is trees are across forest trail, long trail is a gas gusler, but totally do-able.....

Water is starting to flow and there are glory drops in the middle of nowhere.

Caution on the first two meadows for those and then you should be Golden for the rest of the ride.

Don,t forget to stop at trappers cabin for a fire and weiner roast.

Dave if you thought the trees were tight in Hall the last time we rode together you will really like the shortcut I have to get to Blue Lake. Not a ride for thoughs that don't like tree bashing. It's a great ride if you know where to go and lots of trouble if you don't.
