I currently am running 18/43 gears in my 08 700, I tried this last year cause im heavier and lots of guys were praising 19/42 gears so i thought i should go lower and it will be better yet.
Found i had a trenching POS compared to before other than there was far deeper unused snow the second time... but the new gears did not make it a wheely king at all.
Is it that i geared too low? its only a 155 with the 2.4 inch lugs cut to 2.25 (f-bomb mod without screws) I think i may be just trenching myself......
I may try this year to put my stock 20/41 gears in and lay my front track shock down and see if it trenches less.
