Fuel smell on shut off on 06 Honda rincon

Does anyone have answer why to why my 06 Honda rincon smells like gas while ride & worse when I shut her down.

my guess would be, your fuel tank isn't venting correctly. the heat of the engine expands the fuel in your tank thereby pressurizing the tank. Run it up to operating temperature and then shut her down. Then open the gas cap and see if it releases pressure. If so you have a venting problem.

Does it have a carb? If so, your floats might be sticking. You could try tapping the bowl with a wrench, or take the carb off and give it a good cleaning.

Have you tried checking the fuel lines and the carb it self? It may require some replacement check the hose and the carb gasket.
