Front Shock leaking

So I load up the machine after riding on the weekend, and I notice the front left shock is soaked in oil, which seems to be draining out the bottom of the main cylinder(sorry don't know the terminology). Has anyone run into this problem in the past? I'm hoping it's just a cracked seal and doesn't require the entire shock to be replaced.

Also, would the shocks be covered under the warranty? I have the X model with the upgraded shocks, and would NOT like to pay out of pocket to fix them.

Spoke to Jim at Civic Powersports in Westlock, and he says that he doesn't think shocks are covered under warranty, and I'd probably be looking at about 450 bucks + shop hours to get it fixed if he needs to be replaced.. Brutal.
