Firstly and foremost, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the families who lost loved ones in the the past week. I feel compelled to write this thread after hearing and reading different comments on a variety of public media sources.
For those who chose to publically criticize the character and judgement of those who died tragically without any compassion. SHAME ON YOU. For those who have decided to look at the economics of search and rescue. SHAME ON YOU. For those whose arrogance makes them feel that this is an opportunity to further their enviromental and political agenda. SHAME ON YOU For the rest of us, we will continue to sled with same passion and respect that we always had. For me personally, sledding if more than the color you ride, more than the power a sled has, it simply FREEDOM. FREEDOM to enjoy the beauty and space that the back country offers. FREEDOM to spend time with family and friends. FREEDOM from the clutter, greed and deception that day to day living brings.
To those I rode with the past year, thanks for the memories.
With respect
