A g-note gets you one islander reel. Depending on which one your buying lol. I told my wife to tuck a couple of the MR3 under the Xmas tree this years for me.

I tried a few different mooching reels at Shearwater in May including Islander MR2 and 3, Penn and Diawa(I have two, one is broken hence me needing another setup). There were always little things I didn’t like about the others, so I figured I may as well get what I want. Nothing worse than having to live with compromise.

We launched at pipestone in wembley. Up the wapati to were the red willow drops in. Just before wapati gardens. Nice little hole there. Bout 12’. The river is dropping and starting to clear up. Was a beautiful evening.

Ended up smacking two walters in one pickeral rig. The big boy was 23.5”.

What are you guys using for wash down pumps. I’m going to install one. I’ve just been using a line tee’d into my main. But I’d like to not have to turn on my main to use my wash down. Might go to the rv spots in town. Prefer to not have a switch but if need be I will run one.
