I've been looking to purchase my first sled. Once I get the hang of things I plan on riding pemberton, whistler, sicamous, revy, and such. I am not a big guy so i want something light. Been looking at the 2011-2012 pro and found one with 1350km for 8500. Just looking for any advise, things to watch out for, or any input you guys got for me. Would this be the right sled or should I look at a different sled.

Thanks for you help.

Better scoop it up before it is gone. You will love it. Sounds like a good deal and probibly won't last long at that price

As an accomplished Pro rider..........now..........I don't think you can go wrong with this state of the art snowshoe.

No such thing as too much sled. Just ride how you're comfortable and you'll get used to the power in no time. Sledding is highly addictive and you're gonna love it!

Not too much sled to learn on just the opposite as it does eveything so easy.My son struggled a little learning how to carve on the wifes 09 RMK.I swapped with my 12 pro and he was carving turns in no time.Buy it but get it checked by a reputable dealer to make sure it has not been abused especially ir your a newb and don't know what to look for.

I agree. Not too much sled at all. My first sled was and is a 2012 Pro RMK, bought brand new and my only regret is getting the 155 "to learn on" on recommendation of my dealer. Took about 5 rides to get the hang of it and I was already wanting for the 163".

I came off an XP and I did find it alittle tippy at first but by the second day I was in love. I rode the 163 and 155 and I like the 155 better. The 163 is more forgiving in deep pow but the 155 is way more agile in the trees. If you are not a big guy the 155 will be awesome to learn on. Have fun.

bad news, the sled sold before i could take time to go see it and get it checked out.. f&%k. and whats worse is that i am back at square one on not knowing what to get. i keep second guessing. first. pro rmk or xp and now even buy leftover 2012 or buy used. my brain hurts....

thanks again for the comments, every comment is appreciated.

As I said earlier, don't hesitate or contemplate, if you find another pro GET IT, as fast as you can or it will be gone. I wouldn't think twice. You will love the pro, the XP is 50lbs heavier. I'd buy whatever you can find. The pros have been sold out everywhere for the last 3 years. Good luck, and post some pics when you get one

My first mountain sled was a 2012 PRO last, and I wouldn't have done it any other way. Love the way it rides and handles the trees. Unless you just plan on pointing the nose straight up a chute and pinning it, you can't go wrong with the PRO.
