Doing a 6’ sitting area on the inside perimeter, on some type of washed pea gravel. Exterior perimeter will be done with black rundle rock, approx 30” wide

Never done this before, but know I need to level and redo. Had to get the brick off the truck, so decided to get an idea of what I’m going to do. Will need corner bricks for sure

Whatever happened to a bunch of rocks in a circle?
We have that currently but mom has bad visions of one of the grandkids tripping and ending up in the fire....... Not worried about her kids all drunk by the fire just the grandkids so that's why they went to this fancy setup

You tell mom that the grandkids tripping and hitting their heads on a sharp piece of hot metal is probably better than tripping on rocks. I fell into a few fires when I was young, taught me that fire was hot, stay back, dont fall in them. Good advice I gave myself.

I do admit I like allot of the new fire pits. Problem is the wife likes them even more than me so I will probably have to fall off my wallet one day soon.
