Is the club going to have a Family Day ride again this year?

Yes we are. As far as i know we will be doing the same as we have in the past up lucielle. And we are also working at getting the beacon training(practice) park set-up near the cabin so that people can practice there beacon use aswell.

Yes it is for the alberta family day longweekend.

Family Day at Lucille Cabin will be on Sunday, February 20th 11:00am to 3:00pm. As always, the groomer will be making a toboggan run for the kids. I think we will also try for a kids' beacon treasure hunt too. Club Members will be BBQing hamburgers & hot dogs. Pop and hot chocolate will be available as well. Kids eat free and adults by donation. Trail pass fees will be waived after 10:30am for participants. This is getting to be a VERY popular event here.

Our second Family Event is on Sunday,March 20th - same time and venue as above.

Well, Family Day Sunday was a success again this year. Hopefully some pictures will get posted.

Leona Eyben and Rod Whelpton for their hard work organizing everything.
"Hotrod" El-Ja Grooming for making the most awesome toboggan hill yet.
Barry (bbtoys) and Jon (bigdog67) for spending the whole day shuttling kids up to the top of the toboggan run.

Lots of happy people. We couldn't have asked for a better day.

My wife and I want to say thank you to all of the volunteers who made this a very enjoyable event, we had so much fun, It was my wifes first time to the mountains and she had a blast.
Thanks Bigdog67, Barry, and Judy it was a wonderful weekend. Highly recommend this fun filled day!!

it is going to happen for sure, any ideas on taking it to the next level will be looked at. going to try and do something for the kids and adults in the beacon park this year. see if our friend Jesse will come up and help with that, he is so patient with teaching avy awareness. may have to increase the hotdog and burger order if you are bring that many.LOL
