Its pretty easy, choose a BCA channel on the Baofeng with no privacy(or privacy),.. if needed everything you need is on the BCA webite for frequencies.

Fair enough , remember my instructions were comming from Ron lol, Lmao!

I did that , I need too get a cable and do it myself , finding a lot of people getting frustrated trying too program them all together , get 2 of 3 with bca and 2 or 3 with Baofeng radios and it turns into a **** show every time !

Its amazing how many BCA owners dont know how to change a channel. Very frustrating.

Re: Everything BaoFeng & VHF Radios

Has anyone found a reasonably priced programmable truck mount two-way radio? I have my Baofeng hand helds already, but want to put something permanent in my truck,.. thoughts?

I have a couple of models. Send me a PM

i was one of those guys last season. Took the 10ish minutes to watch Dave/rays video explaining frequency mode and channel on YouTube.

Now I feel like a pro using it! Haha

I have been using food containers but that looks like it might be better.

I use a food container as well. That case looks big.
I have a clear pelican 1030 as well but have not had the heart to cut it up for the radio,

Nice find.
I was using a plastic container but that broke in my pack when it was cold and I did a nice dismount from my sled...LOL.
Not intended one. Lost my talent, Should have zigged instead of zagged.....Bwhaaa.
I found a nice solid pencil/pen case at walmart.
Radio fits nice.
Zippered closure.
Put a koozy over face (put whole unit into Koozy) to protect front/back and added soft protection.
Remove antenna, and everthing will fit inside for storage including mic.
Cheap also. 5.00 bucks.

I have a bca 18l (I think) and just hook it to the top strap inside the bag.

And ‘lock’ the radio. Is the container to prevent stuff from hitting the talk buttons?

I have "Lock" button on all the time.
Yes, also helps (pretty much 100% stops) with the radio mic from being inadvertantly hit.
Saves rubbing off of numbers/letters on keys.
Prevents (hopefully) cracked LCD display.
Keeps radio looking brand new and no rub marks.

I prefer all my stuff to be in A1 condition and looked after.

Last thing I want is a damaged or broken radio in the back country when needed.

Just my thoughts only.
Others have differnt opinions I am sure.

Have a great season. Happy sledding.

Good question.

On the Baofeng and probably most radios with a keypad you can only lock the keypad and not the PTT buttons or any other side buttons.
