engine swap

was looking at doing a engine swap on the ol 97 summit 670 and was wondering if a 700 engine out of a 2000 summit would fit and how difficult the swap would be will i need all the electronics from the 700 or r they the same as the 670. thanks for the info.

You will need all of the electronics because on the 97 they ran HAC if memory serves and the 2000 runs DPM so everything electronic wise will need to be changed and anything can be done depends how much money you are willing to spend.

It can be done if you had a complete 700 donor sled, I feel that there would be zero gains over the 670 though.

A big bore on the 670 would lay a lickin on the 700. Ive seen 740s in the 170 hp range.
