E-tec REED failures??

Thought it was worth mentioning that my 2011 has a chipped reed valve at 2500km's. This was discovered during the top end rebuild. I asked dealer to inspect them on a tip from a friend that found his reeds feathered on the edges, at the time of the rebuild.

Why were you rebuilding at 2500km? thought the new motors could go alot further without having to do the top end?

thats a pretty common thing on any reed. even the good aftermarket ones will chip. but anyways thanks for the heads up good thing to check.

I change mine every year on are drag sled.
