Dodge 3500 with leveling kit and rough ride

Anyone have experience adding the blistein 5100 series shocks to a leveled dodge 2500 or 3500 truck. I have a 2" leveling kit with stock shocks and have heard that these could drastically improve my ride quality. if not blistein then which brand?

Go with the bilstens you won't regret it I've got 2 years on mine in my dodge 2500 and they are still working good. Here's a good place to order them from. I have a Ekeystone auto account and these guys sell them for what my cost is.

Bilstens or Fox are both good.
I prefer the fox lately as seem to be valved smoother .
Both are about same price.

I've put Bilsteins on all my trucks. They are firm, but take out a lot of chatter. Deal real well with the big hits and smooth out nicely on the highway.

BDS shocks are Fox also if you have someone close that deals with BDS.

the larger lift springs and longer shocks provide a better ride than the spacer blocks
i did the readylift spacer blocks on my last truck and it rode like crap after if i do it on my new truck
i would use carli or thuren lift springs instead of the blocks

I have the 3" BDS lift on my pickup,.. its a heavy diesel,.. I don't worry much about the ride but more on how much power I can put to the ground

Ride seems fine to me.

It's a 3500 so it's rough.

Go fox.. i installed a set of cheap foxes in my carli suspended truck (Previous bilstein 5160 remote reservoir) and my wife went WOW. Good enough for me... I thought she would like it but after a a bit of seat time fox has this down, way better than bilstein.

Another vote for the Bilsteins here. My brother had them on his Carli suspended 02 Dodge and I swear it rode as good as my Chevy with Bilsteins. I haven't run the FOX's, I would like to see the difference but I haven't seen them for anywhere close to $105 a corner like the Bilsteins. FWIW I read somewhere the Fox don't hold up in the cold as well as Bilsteins. Who knows.

I put the good ranchos (7100) on all 4 corners of my 3500 diesels(2006 and 2011)... Extremely nice ride after.... And fraction of price of a bilstein

Yeh fox shocks will be in the $175 mark but synthetic oils and made for western and northern climates .
Give this fella a call. He's a supporting vendor and have never heard a bad report.
