I have read post by (Lost) on loud sleds. I have mixed thoughts. I have a rural setting & also a town res. Trail system goes right by cows & near house,In town can hear sleds in background... & does not appear very loud @ all. Cows don't seem to mind either. I have 3 mtn sleds 700/800 & 900 2/cans & one w/pipes. I donot ride on streets, just load sometimes in town, sleds just enough rev to load. A neighour has a Harley motorbike that has STOCK exhaust that is @ a idle as loud as my sleds... & starts near every morning to go to work in summer months & revs her up to leave going thru neighourhood to work.... no one complains. Other guy has a Dodge diesel w/straight pipe exhaust & goes to work everyday... revs her up to pickup speed to get going to work..... no one complains. Some people have so called crotch rockets w/stock loud exhaust when reved up....no one complains. These are all vehicles that drive in & thru out cities & towns everyday & night.... Sleds are seasonal. (Am I missing something here). All three sleds, the first thing to go was the exhaust & it will be last thing to be put back on. I understand I will piss some people off but lets get real.
This is my opinion.
