$450 is cheap u locals get the deals,,, thought it was 600-700$ around there?

Hey guys a few of us in nothern alberta want to make the trip, do we need to buy passes in advance. Whats a good spot to stay, i have a couple guys flying out from the east coast also so if there where cabins to rent that would also work we have about 7 peeps so far. Any info would be helpful
