clutch rattle

I have an 08 summit that has developed a loud rattle in the primary clutch. It only rattles at an idle, as soon as i give it some gas the noise goes away and pulls hard! I'm making the trip up to Valemount in a couple weeks and I can't decide if I should take it in to Martin to have it looked at before I go...any advice???

Might need a rebuild or even just new slider buttons.

Yea sounds like you need new slider buttons.. Little mini black puck looking things that act as slider between the 3 guides on the clutch.. if you look in the pan under you clutch there would be a couple pieces in there and the clutch will have some free play front to back.. Quick and easy fix if you have the tools.. pop it off and tear it down.. May as well change the internal bushing while your at it.
