Hey guys i wanted to start a new thread on the clickers so this wouldnt get over looked. I have them on my 06 gade x 1000 and my 07 adrenaline, i love them, and i drink less beer lol because i can get them done in half the time it takes to dig a beer out
One safety factor though!
When you install them make sure you have as much thread of the bolt in the new nuts as possible. When you compress the spring the bolt head should BARELY protrude from the recess in order to turn.
The supplied thread locker works awesome.
Now... the catch to the seemingly perfect little device... When you adjust them make sure you ALWAYS adjust in a clockwise direction. This ensures the lock/set screw cant back off. The clutch gets hot as we all know.. i wouldnt want to weaken the thread locker so i adjust in the clockwise fashion.
AS far as compression of the spring while in reverse, i have'nt any input, but gee how many rev's are you cranking? A good topic though. I do know they better have a set of them for me when i pick up my X 163.
