I tore my primary apart to find a broken clutch spring. It was the stock cat spring. End of last season I noticed my sled had a bit of a vibration/rattling sound at idle. You couldn't feel it or see it and it went away once you revved the engine up. So I stored the sled and kind of forgot about it until today. The only real reason I tore it apart is because I was planning on trying a new spring anyway. The strange thing is I was the only one who knew there was something different. I let lots of buddies listen and ride and they all said it was fine to them. But I have been riding this machine for almost 5 years so I guess its what you are used to. Anyway, check those clutch springs! My rollers in my secondary were shot too, changed those. Pre-season checks!!

I thought it was common knowledge that Cat clutches have worn out parts after every season of use.
