Can a person haul a 9'-6" camper on a Ford F350 diesel single rear axle 6'-6" box with the tailgate down. Is this legal, any feedback would be greatly appreciated and if you do how does the truck react.
I haul a 992 Arctic Fox camper in my F-350 dually, when its loaded for use I rolled through the scales and was shocked. I only had 300kgs left on my back axle. These things are heavy when loaded.

Exactly! Can't wait for summerI even hitch up my 20ft jet boat and trailer to the hitch and ready to roll, all within DOT specification's and requirement's
I have a 9'6" camper for my F350 super duty single axle. I just remove the tail gate and its a perfect fit. I even hitch up my 20ft jet boat and trailer to the hitch and ready to roll, all within DOT specification's and requirement's.
Except when i bought my truck it wasn't to be a show piece but was to serve a purpose, it has an 8ft box.
Why do you guy's buy these half truck's, get a truck to suit the need. Same with guys hauling sled's that are half hanging out the back LOL.

If you took out the company crew trucks because lots of those are long boxes, I bet it’s closerto 90-95% short boxes. I love my long box I couldn’t go back to a short box.Anyone have any stats on short box vs long box sales?
I'm guessing 80-90% are short box...my truck is in the smaller percentage side...8'.

My truck is a long box dually 4 door, I walk a long ways to go into stores lol. I hate parking my truckMost people's truck also double as thier car. Short box trucks look better and are easier to park in the city.

Ya i know i see it every day, i find it kinda a joke actually.
People will go out buy a truck or what they call a truck, the thing will hardly carry their fat mother inlaw then try to put a sled deck or camper on it HAHAHA
Like SWAT said, "Right tools for the job."
So before buying the truck consider what your planning to do with it then buy it and buy it for the job it needs to do. Don't buy it then try to make it fit for the job after.
