I think one BIG show in Red Deer is the way to go. Vendors gear up for one major event  But what are the chances of that happening :hmm:

NOt a bad idea but how about a town where the wife(s) would like to go to as well( I can go look at sleds, she can shop and go to nice cafe's, my wife is not gonna want to go to Red Deer( I'm sure it's a fine place but not exactly a international tourist destination), but say Fernie or something, that would be cool.

went down sunday and it was like empty quiet.

i think the "The Harvestdays"or "FrozenH20" show in Red deer would be awesome. end of september, good weather, grass drags, beer gardens, rv camping, swap meet, rider seminars, oems, and aftermarket stuff. and the only catch would be if your a sledder coming to the show is that you have to commit a membership to at least sled club, at the club and riding area doorway/entrance. then you'll have a fighting chance of getting the sledders to get somewhat on board with backcountry politics. my 2cents

Nice thought steel town. That is inter-jurisdictional and I don't think it would be feasible.

IMHO northern Alberta has way more riders and Edmonton would be the only venue. If it was the only show in Alberta, I guess a lot of riders from southern Alberta would just "be there"....

Went to the show on Saturday. Would have been nice if they posted signs saying the hall was on the other side. I originally drove thru the casino side and thought I'd better make it a short walk for the wife and parked on the usual side.
Very small show though. I didn't see one modded sled or vendor there. Big mods anyway.
Great video deals at Crazy Canadians. Planned on buying just 1 and walked away with 4.
Met Chris Burandt. He was eager to run away thanks to a friend :)
Burandt and Rasmussen put on a pretty good 1 hour clinic. That was worth the admission right there. Wonder how may people will remove their risers?
Got a great deal on a Snowpulse from Avalanche Safety Solutions. Considering a buddy did all the selling for them. There new sales line may be - "You don't go into the mountains without this sh&t!" We'll see if it's on their banners next year.
