Brake rotor play???

I just noticed that my brake rotor has a lot of play. It seems to be excessive but maybe I just never noticed it before. If I grab the rotor I can rotate it back and forth about a quarter of a turn or more. I snugged the chain case tensioner to spec. But it didn't change anything. Is this normal?? Thanks

very normal, it is the reverse gear set up, believe this is what allows the gears to mesh while sitting still. had the same experience in 07 when I was tearing mine apart as a new unit.
