Got a set of billet wheels and when looking closer the rear idlers (8") have cross supparts between the two wheels. Will the billet wheels work without those cross supports, without damaging the track?

I believe the rear idler is a one piece unit and you will not be able to use the Billet wheels. I may be wrong but that's what I have been lead to believe.

Yes you can put billet wheels on With the stock axle. You need to if your factory ones delaminated and are waiting for parts.

Stock axle is stepped. Wheels sit against the step and just need spacers from the adjusting block to the wheels. It cuts some weight also.
