I want to ride saturday but can't remember the last time the avalanche risk was so risky. I love our area but it can be hard to find anywhere safe to ride. Rolling hills and pipeline I guess. Even if you know somewhere safe to ride there are often risky areas you cross to get there. I love the steep and deep and playing in the trees but on a weekend like this you could be caught off guard very fast. If you have not yet read the bulliten/forecast go to avalanche.ca and look it up. For any that have taken avy training this is the weekend they tell you to stay home or pick your terrain with extreeme caution. I've been watching the south rockies forecast for the past two seasons pretty much weekly and I rarely remember them using the highest risk rating. Any suggestions?
