Beacon question

is any beacon a good beacon?
I found one used it's Survival On Snow ,don't know how old.Wondering if it a decent on or should a guy look at something more up to date?
What should i look at if i'm looking at beacons?

have to say i will not ride with any one without!as for the brand they all work!just check before each ride that they send and recieve!do a fake out with your riders and see who can't use them!you need to know they work and how to use them!

The digital beacons are quicker and easier to learn than the anolog SOS but if you learn how to use it and practice it would be fine. You always want your buddies to have the best recievers anyway:rolleyes:
