And have all the parts available to 162 my 153? Is it just longer rails and a track, do I need to rivet on a tunnel extension? Let me know what you think. Thanks!

You can do it but without extending your tunnel you may hit the cooler in the back and trash the clamps, you will definately get your flap caught in the track going through the whoops unless you change the angle of it. If you have an 07 the cooler wraps around the back and you track will hit that as well. Everything else is simple as you just need extentions or longer rails and you are goood to go!

Appriciate the advice...its a 2010 HCR. I wonder if the factory 162 piece is a bunch longer and just rivets on? Then I would need to extend the hoses as well?

Thats what you should do, the extention is at least 4" longer and not expensive. It is easy to change out the extention and you can buy the longer hoses from Cat for cheap. It is a worthwhile mod in my opinion, I think you should skip the 162 and go right to the 174, my sled rocks! Good luck.:d

About to consider the same. Moving from a 153 to 162.

I was considering a Vanamburg bumper with extension... Do you really think the track would hit the cooler if left in place? I'm wondering about effective cooling if it isn't moved back.

Has anyone tried leaving the cooler where it is?

Double check with ur dealer but i think the 2010 hcr has the same tunnel length as the 162's so u wouldnt have to worry about changin it, but ya double check to be sure

part# for 2010 153 HCR tail piece = 5606-499
part# for 2010 162 SPro tail piece = 5606-500
