It was in a sikh temple, explain what you mean why would that be ironic?

As for being the only person with a gun, I don't think it has anything to do with laws- but more like religious reasons..

The shooter was some dumbass ex-army guy who got a discharge.

Did you see where the shooting was,.. the irony

my thoughts, it was in wisconson, i really don't care, thought all usa citizens carried guns as it was. thought east indians already carried knives and swords also. some sort of religious right, as far as i understand he was using handguns not auto weapons, may have been pissed he didn't get the 72 virgins, or they may have not been female.

Where did you learn all US citizens carried guns? What does 72 virgins have to do with Sikhism? Baptized Sikhs carry a Kirpan. Not sure all "east indians carry knives and swords. Do they? What are auto weapons?

This is pretty strange. Sikhs are usually peaceful and keep to themselves, if anything from my experience there is some prejudice towards Caucasians from them but nothing compared to the Muslims. Only thing they have really ever been on the radar for is wanting to be able to carry their Kirpans on airplanes.

There's a little more to them than a lot of people remember.

Just like there are good and bad people of all walks, you can't paint them all with the same brush. It's like saying all muslims are evil.

Or all catholic priests should be turned into unics. Besides the sikh people are the victims here.

whats this have to do with a man entering their temple and opening fire?

Gee I don't know, maybe the comment Bnorth posted stating, "Sikhs are usually peaceful and keep to themselves" or "Only thing they have really ever been on the radar for is wanting to be able to carry their Kirpans on airplanes."

Was the shooter not a white guy?

I see you are assuming Bnorth was saying the shooter was a Sikh. No? Yes? :dunno: I believe he said that because he thinks Sikh's are "angels".

Here's another bit of info showing how they are usually keeping to themselves.
