I have taken the trails into Helena lake and to Blackett lake. Helena you can almost drive a truck in there 75% of the way fairy good trail lots of wildlife. There is a couple bad spots 1 there is a beaver dam on the side of the road that flooded over the road so you have to draw a imaginary line where the trail should be (of coarse its a curve) and just drive thru the water where the road should be  about 75 or so yards then after that is #2 bad spot long stretch of mud and water got to pick and choose your way through I think there maybe a truck or 2 lost in some of the holes, otherwise real good trail.
Blackett trail very well maintained kudos to club that maintains it. Nice bridges, tons muskeg crossings justa general overall good trail kids rode in on little quads good family ride, no issues or bad spots with the trail. When you get to the lake there is a little camp area with all the gin poles set up for a camp just bring tarps. There are wood boxes with dry wood just replace for the next people and 2-3 picnic benchs cemented into the ground. The best of all there is a couple fiberglass & aluminun boats free to use just bring oars or a motor good fishing there also. :D

We went down here on dirt bikes, and didn't get past the fire tower.

Really muddy, do not attempt without a quad. (or hip waders)

we ride this regularily but from the south there is a great staging area on the way to pinehurst lake outhouse and permanent loading rampat end of staging area go straight and follow trail to blackett lake exellent kids ride even easily doable for kids riding chinese quads as there are tons of boardwalks over the ugly and good fishing as well. if u head right at end of staging area the trailsare more advanced there seem to be more and more boardwalks each yr but eventually u will be muddy there are trail maps posted at staging area and the is loop will gauranteed take you a day GREAT RIDE and lots of little lakes with fishing opportunities

There are also some good trails around Frenchman Lake. We have taken trails from Fork Lake to Frenchman Lake to Pinehurst Lake to Siebert, all done over an entire weekend. Had to break some trail to get a couple of places, but what a ride.

just a little update.

we camped out at touchwood this past weekend and drove the truck up just past the firetower. road up to fire tower is good but past where it looks like the trailhead is (all grown in) is very muddy, not sure if its because its a wet year or it just rained. beware if bringing a toyhauler/rv up there as you might not get it out. my truck has good mud tires on and we only had the quads on the deck of the truck so it wasnt an issue for us.

Have tried a few times to make this loop thinkin it may require a boys ride to complete entire loop in a day
