2007 m 1000 slp pipe setup and boondocker, should i use a air fuel gauge to tune in the box or go with a pyrometer? used pyros before but the air fuel gauges look like the answer.

The biggest problem with A/F on a 2 stroke is sensor life. The only way we could get a season out of one on my sons turbo sled is to run an auxiliary battery and let it go through its preheat cycle before starting the sled. After all that he spends more time tuning with his pyro than his A/F anyway (he has both). Pyro is much more trouble free in my experience. :d

i run my koso a/f with a toggle switch and dont turn it on untill the sled is hot then it doesnt turn the heater on forever, works ok,egt's are ok as well but i still resort to plug reads and piston wash and corrolate my a/f readings with that,my m was reading 15.5:1 @5000 rpm 20-30% throttle and plugs looked good, just an example and 11.8 wfo
