thinking about buying a sled are 99 summit 670 good?

Wife loves hers....I've been told by a few people they are the best all round sled ever built and the 99 is the best year...Look for an X (670x) with a 144" track mountain capable and trail comfortable..

im confused wasnt 98 the last year for these. considering you can buy a 99 zx?

670 are an awesome sled....

but if i was looking around that price range i would lean towards a zx 600 or 700.

those motors are bulletproof and will outpull a 670.

99 was the final year for 670x model. however was only avail via snowcheck as they went to the zx chassis after that. I have a 99 and it pulls crazy hard. keeps up to any stock 800 and it is totally stock in the engine bay except for a can. Love the sled. would recomend. I have rode it now for 3 seasons and its at 45 to 47 hundred miles and has never ben touched.

A 99 x will out pull any zx 600 or 700. my brother had one and it was an animal. bone stock, fast and loads of torque.

no kidding when i first got mine me and a couple buddies raced one on a mxz 1000, and his brother on a 600 switchback. we all ran side by side to about 50mph then we dropped the polaris behind and i fell behind at about 75mph. What is the guy asking for the sled?

lots of other guys i talked to say that pipes killed the 670s. couldnt make any power. Best power was made with single stock pipe. the only company i heard of that could make power with pipes on a 670 of any type was jaws. Of course this is all heresay to me as i do not know for sure but mine hauls ash and is stock except for the can.....

heh wait a minute. how did you race yourself. sweet that would have been cool to see. lol:d

I know mine improved with the SLP twins, but I did change gearing when I went to the 151 so hard to say. As for trading for a bike, it's a great sled to get into the sport and the mods list is endless if you like getting your hands dirty, 12 weeks untill first ride, better start on a new mod:beer:

are you sure.

if that was true why did they dump the motor.

im not sayin. just sayin lol

my 600 blew away my 670x with twin pipes.

They dumped the 670 and all the rotary valve motors because they couldent get them low enough in the zx chasis for the center of gravity they were trying to achieve. If your piped 670 got beat by a stock 600 it had serious issues :d:d:d
