hello i have a 97 sportsman 500 my wife drives it and we were out for a ride today she got stuck in that soupy sand stuff . as she was trying to back out alot of white smoke came out from the elt area ,, then when we pulled her out , we were able to get the bike into forward but couldnt in reverse, so we tride to wash it off by going through some water then the bike lost all power and qwit , now when you hit the stert buttin you here a plunk, and the engine twists but doesent turn over and i cannot pull the pull start at all . does it sound like the engine is toast or starter or maybe stuck in gear ... i have a feeling it is going to the scrap yard ,,, if anyone has an idea please feel free to give your input ... thank you in advance
