my summit has ran great for about two weeks since it was rebuilt had it out yesterday for about two mhours ran fine until right at the end it started backfiring and would bog an die at idle unless i played with the throttle then when i would take it up in rpm it would backfire any ideas on what could be causing this it still has the hac could it be that the hac has finally craped out thanks

Run it again on idle and pull one of the 2 plug caps if it still idles off of the one cylinder, put back the plug cap and pull the other one. If by pulling the plug cap totally stalls out ur machine. That means the oposite cylinder from the one u pulled the plug cap is not sparking... Do this and let me knw wats up?? Hope it helps in finding the problem...

ran it again last night after playing with the carbs a bit and it ran great pulled my rave valve covers and they seem to be a little sticky think they are gummed up with oil i will go run her today and try the plug thing and clean my raves thanks
