Just bought the sled took it out for the first time this weekend ran ok for a few hours then started missing. Changed plugs didn't help unplugged tps kill switch didn't help then the check engine light started flashing. Finally gave up and towed it back to the truck. Any idea as to where to start looking for the problem? Thanks for any tips or advice.

TPS adjustment? You can take it to the dealer, buy the TPS tool or build one. They're easy to build and cheap. Search the web for instructions.
Check the plug wires. I've seen the caps go bad.
Depending on your plug condition, check the oil return spring. I remember them sticking and over oiling in the past.

The plugs looked good dry nice brown colour. I did unplug the tps and kill switch but that might not help. It very well could be the tps I think it's defiantly electrical. Almost like its de rated its self. Wonder if the check engine light is a code for something?
thanks fndan for the info I will look into the tps that makes sense to me!

Once you get the sled indoors and dried out do you still have an issue? If it clears then you likely have a moisture/electrical issue. These machines also had a tendency to take out the PTO side seal. A little shot of ether around the primary when the sled is at idle will show a bad seal if the motor revs up. Also worth checking your throttle body boots. Make sure the throttle bodies are sealed to them and that there are no cracks and not delaminating.

If your thinking electrical, another area on the 900 wiring is between the fuel tank and tunnel , I also had a old pull cord fray bad inside the housing causing a mystery bog, pop and repeat engine shutdown, cleaned it all out new cord ran like a champ! Good Luck.
