7600 kms and still going!

Just had to post this.
My 05 900 has over 7600 kms on the original motor and still going.
Ticking time bomb? Maybe but I'll wait and see.

What condition are your pistons and cylinders in?

I got about 3000 km on my 06 and one piston did not look very good compression was down on that cylinder.

Then got rid of it.... before she blew.

I will be checking them soon. My sled is at my brothers'

It's time!! Be a good summer to freshen things up, or a least inspect the internals. Get it before it does go and then you have bigger headaches. Got one that had the same mileage and it dropped a skirt off the piston. So going to go with the updated crank and the 06' pistons.

That's the plan this summer. Refresh the motor and paint the hood.
