670x stator output???

hey guys i got a 99 670x and seem to be going through alot of plugs....only seems to be happening when i got the handwarmers on ....if i don't run the warmers i don't seem to have a problem...wondering if low stator output could cause this and if so before i spend the $350.00 how does a guy test the output??? thanks
