That’s not the fuel filter my truck runs. The plastic one has an extra line and not sure what the flat one is. I have a 16

I would do a Ford with the 6.2 or Chev with the 6.0. I read on here that guys much preferred the Ford 6.2 with the 4.30 rear end. I drive a CC 8' box Dodge 2500 6.4 with a canopy and towing an open two place from time to time and it's ok on power but thirsty. The 5.7 would be a dog.

I will second that on the ford 6.2 with the 4.30 my friend had one and it was much better than the identical truck with 3.73. Believe it or not it actually got a bit better mileage as well.

Interested to see how well the 24 gm’s do since they are apparently pairing the 6.6 gas with the 10 speed for that model year.

I just built on what @sirkdev posted prior. Cant speak for that place, but seems legit, although USD. Quick look on rock auto shows better pricing on those particular filters, as does Dirty Diesel
for sure there is even better yet if you shop thats just the first that came to mind.If you are willing to go away from OEM filters there are many more options yet

Ok power but thirsty pulling a 2 place open trailer. An enclosed or RV wouldn't be much fun pulling through the hills.

Today gas prices looks very attractive, but in a year or two, maybe not. Most years, diesel is cheaper, plus better fuel mileage. Buying new, it is only $10k extra for a duramax. You get double that back on used resale. Filter and oil is more, but I am only familiar with duramax's, as the last ford I had was a 2010. Oil filters are $15 at Canadian Tire and fuel filters are $50 on Amazon. Sure it takes 5 more litres of oil, but nothing that is going to break the bank.

Really liking my truck with the 6.2. Had a lmm dmax before and honestly I don't think I would go back to a 3/4. I personally didn't need it anymore. Just use a little dump trailer for hauling ch!t

Running old Chevy 2001 6.0HD. Backup truck. Little rusty, however great bush, hunting, fishing truck. 310km on odometer. Not burning oil, not great on gas (better than my old 460 ford). Considering I drive it less than 6k year. All the truck I need.
