Good deal.
For that price definatly worth getting.
Was just wondering why the huge price gap on 2020 sleds.
Cat must be just selling them way cheaper then.

Cat must be making them way cheaper....

Just looked up my Factory Yamaha extended warranty for the Winder, $1300.00 for 3 years full coverage and if I don't use it or make a claim at the end I get $1000.00 in store credit to use any way I like. I bought the warranty cuz I figured if the engine goes down it will be expensive otherwise I never buy warranty, is it worth it?, dunno but in hindsight this thing is bulletproof, there are other issues to worry about and I will just fix them myself if there is any problems. I think with the cheap price on the Cats next year nobody can go wrong even with the factory 1 year warranty, as for the other brands, if you have to own them step up and pay the piper and be happy about it but when the Cat is several thousands cheaper it seems like a win win to me, plus its a kick ass sled!

Fair enough but that is not the true cost of the warranty. It is getting subsidized to move units.

Am I supposed to care that it might be subsidized? Dealer offers you a $300 factory extended you don’t ask why it’s only $300. Lol

In 2014 it was $250. Same warranty. Took it then as well without any concern about why it was how much it was, all that matters is money staying in my pocket.

$2500 for an extended warranty?

I paid $300 for years two and three on my last sled. That $300 is worth it to me even if I don’t use it for resale purposes.

When I bought my 15 t-3 in 2017 from a doo dealer factory warranty was expired and they quoted me just over 2g for 3 years of 3rd party coverage.

We bought my wife’s Summit in 2016 new holdover. $500 for years two and three, through Doo. Not that she needed it for how she rides but again for that price why not.

Moral of the story there seems to be buy it up front, not when your regular warranty expires.

If you or anyone on here can provide me a great 4 year warranty story I’m all ears. I’m talking about your in your 4th year and roast an engine and take it in and they put a new engine in and tell you to come pick it up no cost. Otherwise don’t waste oxygen talking to me about 4 year warranty. 90% of guys on here don’t keep there sled past 3 years if we’re lucky. With over 4000 sleds on kijiji right now a 4 year warranty means nothing. Maybe cat is looking at there engine and going hmmmm. This is a solid power plant. We good. It’s a great selling feature I think.

I had my 2016 XM 165 T3 lose a motor at the end of the 3rd season. Doo replaced no questions asked without me paying a single dime. The warranty is still a good thing in my books.

Engine replacement in the fourth year.
At snowcheck time, the choice was fourth year warranty or $250 in store credit.
If you are going to keep it and ride, that extra year is pretty sweet.

Better to weigh production models in the fall. Show sleds are usually 2019's with new changes or proto's that can be changed into production.

True but it will only move around 5-10lbs at most and doesn’t matter other then bragging rights.
And someone tell AC to get rid of the gross spindles pls .
Aftermarket address the look and is much better .
