You guys ride like grandpas though. Belts last pussy's forever.

I can asure you that Caper does not ride like a grandpa or a pussy and sets a pretty tough act to follow. Definatly someone to have in your cicle of riding buddies.

Went riding at farm on weekend. Since mid December have ridden every weekend ecept 2.
HAlf were on 15-29 year old sleds, but yesteady was on the Alpha at farm, overkill in 3' of snow but it worked great.
All 2020 sleds are pretty dam good.
If only we could advance people as quick with so few flaws and just spin a wrench to fix the flawed ones.......

It’s early and I have only had one cup of coffee but you ride the Alpha at the farm?

I am not sure riding an Alpha around a farm is giving it a fair shake down.

The Alpha has had 4 trips to the mountains.
For a purpose built sled it is a lot more flexible than some might think.
Around the farm is White Earth Valley.
Not to flat actually.

Dear Mr. Caper11 nutswinger,
You live and ride in the prairies, therefore you have no sled cred. .

You are picking on the wrong guy.
Caper is top shelf and lots of peps will support that.

You should find something useful to do with your Sundays. ....then go work on the other 6 day.

I have personally met Caper11! One, among many members on this forum, that I know. He is an outstanding guy. It might have been sarcasm, but something tells me your mind may be a little warped from that funny weed that your buddy Trudope made smoking legal.

torsion springs? :jaw:

That's the Riot so a cross over sled. Both Cat and Polaris run lay down steering and Torsion Spring in their cross country sleds. Doo is the only one that does not run vertical steering or a 2 shock set up on their skid for the mountains MY2020-Arctic-Cat-M-Mountain-Cat-Alpha-One-165.jpg 8564_1600.jpg_1600.jpg

Cape Schmape. Haha!
Any of you nutswingers have any info on the 2020 Cat engine ?
Stay on topic ffs.
New cylinders, pistons, combustion chamber, fly wheel, and fuel rail. Word has it the new cylinders and pistons are designed for a better fuel injector angle.

So other than the engine is there much difference from a 19 alpha? What's this they are talking about a 2 setting rear shock and a skid lockout on the 20? Just trying to decide if I sell my axys and get a left over alpha this year or snow check a 20.

Besides the engine makeover, the mountain cat seems basically unchanged minus the e-start option. The base M and hardcore bring a low end model, and different shocks to the table.

Is there any actual proof they changed the engine for 2020. I think they copy and pasted the engine info from the 2018 release. The people writing the ads don’t even know that the Alpha has a 7 tooth driver. If you read the ad they aren’t claiming 165 hp they are saying it’s in the same category as the 165 hp sleds. If this was a new engine wouldn’t it be the ctech3??

Arff should have some brochures by now? Maybe he knows or another dealer can pass that info on?
