I asked before... How much $$ into the Alpha to be up to date with the 5 year old Pro? Just Poking but really?

I'd like to know also as people are clearly accepting that the Alpha is as good as a turbo......impressive, dam impressive.

lol

I will ask Ben to post his pricing for my build for you.

I won’t build another turbo after building this sled. But the Alpha is no turbo killer. My turbo pro is very fast and can climb anything, the Alpha is just way more fun for the whole day of riding.

Hey Niner, what’s the clutching changes that you made? I used to carry enough spare parts to build half a new sled but not anymore.

Custom cut helix, SSI adjustable weights, spring changes.

In the trees maybe but on a straight up climb it wont touch a good running turbo.

That is clearly an opinion on your type or style of riding. You must be talking about a 2 stroke turbo. The Alpha is impressive and i'm making room for one in my stables but it ain't a turbo'd 4 stroke comparo, not even close. Agile it is though.

Some pics from Small yesterday and the Ryan Suhan backcountry race. My last ride of the year I think. Was a fun winter. Might have to do some summer mods to keep up to Paul’s sidewinder. lol. Next winter is looking like it will be another great year. Benny will be tweaking his new 850 174 belt drive and Chrisco will have his twin pipes and talking about a turbo 850.

How you liking that front bumper? Does it work with the full skid plate?

Front bumper worked great, protects the front plastics really well and lots of room to get your hands in there when lifting. I’m running the full skid plate and it worked.

Thought I would try to elevate my Alpha and give it a little Altitude...seeing the front end was raised 3/4” with the BDX front end already I thought I would finish the job and raise the back of the sled also. I didn’t want to drill another hole in the tunnel to drop the skid so I went another route which was a lot more work but I feel is going to be a better way. Going to try and get some testing done in May yet to feel the difference but so far I’m happy with how it is sitting. Will try to get a stock Alpha to compare all the heights with.

Interesting, might have a good alternative to the elevate kit.

Took some measurements off a stock Alpha and compared them to mine.1” higher in the belly pan, 1 1/4” higher by the footwell.

Had to add to my bump stop with the added height.
