Thx drew562. We found it too! About foot to three feet of powder today. Amazing day,Today I went way out. Much Higher than 7000’ we had dry pow. Blowing nutz and sidehilled for days. Even got pow in my face. Way better than my first day. It’s definitly not your typical March. Green trees and rocks melted clean up top. Kinda looks like May. I really hope we get a good 2 days long storm. Very few sleds in town.
There will be no access to Boulder on Mon. Apr. 1
The road is being plowed to the 3 km. Kirkup/Bezanson junction.
On Tues. Apr. 2nd you will be parking staging at the junction.
Actually it's skegless RacingAhhhhh.....spring has sprung. Slider and skag season again.
If that is the case, I would be finding at least one truck with a deck to transport sleds up and down the hill. No way I would ride 2.5km of gravel on a sled. Or I would stay home.I heard they didn’t make it to 3 km staging area ? Headed Down for weekend with 20’ enclosed trailer ? This mean we gotta ride 2.5 km of gravel from main parking lot at boulder ?

That's our Facebook spring riding page
Many many hung up skis lmfao
Gravel is good. It means that the panty wearing bedwetters are staying home.If that is the case, I would be finding at least one truck with a deck to transport sleds up and down the hill. No way I would ride 2.5km of gravel on a sled. Or I would stay home.
Hardox is tough indeed.Ooh I like those. To defeat the rock riding, my neighbor is making skegs out of hard ox, the material excavator bucket cutting edges are made out of. I dont know how they will fynction but I will report back.
Where did you get/make those Niner? They look wicked.
I made them. Used some flat bar that we use for concrete forming. 3/4” x 1/4”. Very strong steel. Worked very well, helps steer in the slush too.Ooh I like those. Anybody else riding this weekend?

ya will have to try figure something out...wish I had a sled deck sometimes
Mental note to yourself: never buy sled decks from Jorg...I know this is the wrong thread to get into decks, but lots of Kijiji right now expandable sides for $1500 or less. They don’t really depreciate in value if you buy it right. Could also buy a fixed 8’ wide one for under $1000. Heck I’ve made money on 2 previous decks I bought and sold lol
