2011 Secondary jammed

I have a 2011 Crossfire and yesterday on a ride, the secondary clutch was stuck open with the belt lodged right at the bottom. Nothing would engage, and it was almost like the brake was on. We took it apart removed the belt and the clutch came back together. I managed to limp it home, it smelled like burning belt for about 3 kms then it started to loosen up and behave normally again. Anyone else have the same issue? Thoughts on what it could be? Ideas on what to fix or replace?

Check for a broken helix or a ceased roller in primary.

My 2011 M8 did basically the same thing last year. Not sure if the clutches are the same or not? We took a look while on the hill and noticed a small hairline crack on the helix of the secondary clutch. It was not a very big crack at all, but it made the secondary sit farther open than it should be. Tried limping it out, but the helix ended up shattering into a few pieces. I'd take a good look at the secondary. Cat replaced mine under warranty, so hopefully you still have warranty! Good luck!
