2009 m1000 handle bar issue

I recently bought myself an 09 m1000 it has the stock telescopic handlebars I was able to use them once but now they are stuck in the down position wich is an issue for me when standing up as I am about 6'3" with boots on. Just wondering if its a common issue and if it can be fixed easily.

Spray lube down center hole! Give em a twist while squeezing the tabs to slide it up...

Sounds like a good idea have you had this issue before

If that dosen't work,or you get sick of them, I have a brand new non telescopic shaft you can have...lol

Noprob...was just the stock one I have laying around...changed it out for a telescopic myself...lol,,,,shoulda kept that sled....
