Well.....they only made them for two years.

I know three guys that run them, ALL FACTORY UPDATES DONE, and they have had no problems with them.
I personally think they got there bad rap with all of the problems incured before they caught up with the updates.
The guys I know, love them and swear by them. They are huge power and torque engines, and with the factory fixes in place, hard to beat.

JUst my $ 0.02

I had the 05 and had zero problems....I think the 05 is better because they dont have the transfer problems from the low speed injector to the high speed injector, because of the 2 injector VS the 4 injector in the 06...... get indy dan to build an engine for it, and it will be bullet proof.......unlike the 800 that keeps blowing up. Im looking at buying another 900 but I want a 05! rode my old 900 this weekend and forgot how much I love it.....when they are dialed in just right they work great!

I ran an'06 900 for six seasons and still miss it after a full season on my '12 Pro. I would definitely look for an '06 if you want a 9. Many upgrades were done between the '05's & 06's. The '06's had more hp and a better fuel injection system than the '05. They also respond better to mods. I did the Slp pipe and can on mine plus clutching, gearing, and a custom intake. I also dropped over 60 lbs. off my sled and I guarantee there wasn't one '05 that held a candle to my '06.

Very hit and miss on success stories. However there are many strong runners. Contact BIGFOOT on here. He has one I think he'll let go and its done right.
