2003 duramax

Hey guys.

i found a used duramax it's a 2003 with 230 000 km. i have never owned a chevy. I was wondering what you guys think of the duramax and if thre are any probelms that you guys have had with them and what the 2003 especially is like and major problems wiht the 2003.

Spend the money and get a mechanical inspection might save you big cash if your thinking of buying it.

The Dmax is a great engine but the 03 had issues with the injectors, other that that they are sweet......how much are they asking for it???

hey guys so i kept looking at mroe trucks and i found another one. Thsi one sia 2001. But it has alot more km on it. It has 340 000 but it in the last year has had all 8 injectors replaced, new rear brakes, and a new starter this guy wants 10900 for it. Let em no your input and what you guys would so. also why kind of mileage are you guys getting wiht your LB7 duramax's. Thanks

Seriously go to the link in Thunderr's post and start reading. I read mostly about the LBZ (06-07) DMax's so I can't give you an educated opinion on the LB7.

I would expect 20 USMPG hwy at 65mph. Roughly.

Get the VIN# of the 2003 and checked with your local dealer some of the early code 1's had the injectors warrenty up to 320000km's

i have 300 000 on my 04 duramax and have only ever done 1 alternator and 2 injectors. it is still going strong and reliable.
