hey i am buying a sled this year after being sledless for 4 years. my last sled was a 98 indy 500. i have found a couple 2001 700 rmk's and justed wanted some opinions on this sled. i probably won't be going to the mountains with it but i will be riding some vallys and coolies around here. is there anything i would have to look out for on this sled?

keep an eye out on the clutching, make sure they are clean. those 700rmk's were and still are a reliable sled. it was the poor 8 and 9 hundreds that had some difficutlies. crank issues could develop around 3000miles but that was more common with the 8's not such a issue with the 7's. good choice. nothing wrong with taking it to the mountains either i rode the same 01 for 3 years.

Great sled i still have 2 144" 1 stock & 1 piped, reeds, boost bottle, skis & riser and still love to ride it when my daughter wants to spank the boys my 900

if you get one drop the gearing 1 tooth you will loose a little top end but u can out climb the 800s of that time

you can,t keep up the new sleds but who wants to race around the trails anyway
