Can anyone tell me if the new 2.6 track is that much better than the 2.25? Like others have said, the powerclaw track is horrible when coming down nasty hills and I want to know if I should put a 2.6 on or just pay the money for a Camo extreme 2.5. I know it's a better track but I can get a 2.6 for a good price.

I have heard of guys taking there Camo x off for the 2.6. I personally haven't tried the new 2.6 track but have tried Camo x on a few sleds. And I don't like the new style of the Camo x track I think the old style is way better! So in saying that I would try the 2.6 if you can get a good price.

I had the new camo extreme on my 1100T for 3 trips. Works great in the deep but any sort of hard pack look out! No traction at all. I went to the 2.6 PC no complaints yet.

I ride with 2 cats. One 2,6 power claw. The other 2.5 challenger extreme. The power claw kicks butt in all conditions.

I prefer the 2.6 PC over the 2.5 challenger - it is much better then the 2.25 PC. I replaced my 2.6 last year with a 3" CE, but wouldn't do it again - not worth the $$$ for the performance difference between the two. Go with the 2.6 PC.

Downhill still sucks on the 2.6 IMO. If it wasn't for that I never would of put the 3" on. That's the biggest difference I could see between the two tracks As Oneoldfart said

Either one is a huge improvement over the 2.25. 2012 was my first and last 2.25, wow....If you can get a good deal on a 2.6 then I would go that way. I've never had the new X, only had the old style with the ripsaw edges on the lug, 174 3" was still that way last year. If they still had that style I would prefer that. It would be hard for dealers to sell the 2.6 for what you can preseason order the 2.5 for. The 2.6 lists for a couple hundred more than a 2.5 regularly so new take off would be the ticket.
