1999 mountain max 700 oil injection delete?

anyone remove oil injection to premix. I have a 99 mmax 700 for my son .I put 8 '' risers on and noticed the throttle block is connected to 2 cables. 1 for fuel and 1 for oil injection. I was thinking of making a new fuel cable and leaving out the oil injection and just pre mix. I heard the oil cable stretches over time causing a rich mixture. The sled is fairly low k and does smoke alot. Can I get away w removing the cable or do I need to remove the system?

the oil pump lubricates the bushing and drive for the water pump. i wouldnt suggest deleting it. get the longer cables from an 03 mtn viper and creatively route them.
