Good day... I have a 1998 Summit 670x with a shot rear shock. When out in the cold the shock will spring all of the way up with no dampening affect. Boing! Is the rear shock for the 1998 670x the same as the one for the 1999 670x? The part numbers are different and listed below with a compatable RydeFX for the 1999. If the stock shocks are similer than the aftermarked RydeFX listed for the 1999 should work as well? Thanks in advance for your help.

Looks like Center to Center open is 21.25" open and 12.75" closed with 8mm eyelets.
Measure center to center on the eyelets and travel on the shock and call Dusty at Snowmobile Recyclers 403-938-0930 and he will likely be able to help you out.

If the 99 shock is the same specs as this one then it should fit. I could oly find specs on the non-X models but I think the dimensions are the same, just the valving/shock type was different.
