Can anyone give me the Good and the bad on a liquid cooled 1995 550 arctic cat cougar? I'm looking at buying one for around the farm and pulling kids on a sleigh once in a while, Im' not thinking of ever using it in the mountains. Comes with a fairly new track (not installed) and a some other parts he got off a 1995 550 mountain cat, hes asking for $1500.00 for everything. Any info would be appreciated.
THANKS

I just sold my 97 cougar 550 in the spring... Have absolutely 0 complaints. Was an awesome sled for ditch banging and playing around home, never gave me an ounce of problems in 3 years... had about 1800km I sold it for $1800 with C&A skis, and a 1.25" finger track in the spring...

I had a 97 cougar, had it for 6 years and put 15,000miles on it and never had a problem and sold it in 03 for $1500 to a buddy, and the 580 topend fits on top so he did that and from what i know he still drives it haha

got the same model as yours, was the first sled i ever bought, and still have it. Mines a screamer, will beat my skidoo 800 off the line every time, has a 121 track so its really agile, but not too much if you have kids/wife.
Put a 1 1/2" track on it a while back, does okay on minor off trail stuff.
Paid 800 for mine though.....
