09 rmk 800 trouble

[SUP]my 09 rmk (I know I know) backfires when I switch to reverse and back. It also died once while switching to reverse an bogs a little while riding. Any ideas to what the problem could be?[/SUP]

First off check your compression. Possibly fuel filter.

Definitely check your compression.

The compression is 115 on pto and 120 on magneto. Any other ideas?

Old gas? Disconnect the fuel map plug maybe. Any det or check engine light?

Nope. No lights.

Tps, or the switch in the throttle lever?
Maybe a bad injector, loading up... Or just an electrical fault somewhere? I don't know, frustrating.

Do your head light dim flicker or take some time to come on.if so it could be your voltage regulator there is a recall on them.

Theres a recall on them? I had to order one yesterday, if they had a recall on it, they should be replacing it for free.

There was a recall on the 2010 not 09. And nope. Headlights and everything is fine. I'm thinking fuel filter or the throttle switch. Cause it seems to have a lot of play in it.
