I'm just wondering if anybody is planning to go to US to buy quads? I'm shopping and looks like same story as sleds. ..Some good deals south.

Ya i just about bought one. But now im lookin for a travel trailer first. Less B/S and ill buy the quad later.

Get some U.S. quotes and then go back to the dealerships with the quotes. When I bought my 07 Kawi in January, the dealer got within $500 of what it would cost me in the states. By the time you import it and everything I figured a drive down would only save me a couple hundred tops to go to the states. Wasn't worth a day of my time to drive down there and back.

I told the local dealer I could get one in the US for $3400.00 less and he would not budge.

See there is the problem. If the dealers would get the price within a grand on a new machine in the States, then a people wouldn't go down as much.
Only other thing I would suggest is to email several dealers, tell them what you are willing to pay and attach a copy of the U.S. quote. Worse case your out a bit of time talking to multiple dealers.
